The Logan City BMX Academy was registered as a not-for-profit organisation on 31st July, 2001 by a group of dedicated BMX enthusiasts. The legendary abandoned facility was the perfect space to create a “bicycle skill facility” opposed to being your standard BMX race club.
Affiliated under BMX Australia with long term leasing agreements with Logan City Council this world class facility is located within the grounds of the beautiful community precinct of Underwood Park, Priestdale, which hosts a variety of sporting venues thus populated with thousands of users weekly and daily drive through traffic.
The track’s location provides outstanding branding opportunities for supporters wishing to market their business at an affordable price while supporting a Club that supports it’s Local Community. The Committee here is driven to leave a lasting legacy that changes kids life’s.
The club’s membership has seen tremendous growth in recent years with currently some 200 members, and facility improvements continue owing to the dedication of its volunteers.
With the focus that “winning is not everything” the Academy is all about developing skills, participation, having fun and enjoying bike riding, for all ages and all genders. The track provides a safe environment and is fun riding for all ages and skill levels, be it a BMX rider, athlete, or local families using the venue. As a service to the community the club maintains the track for public use when club activities are not in place.
The club takes pride in the fact it is home to series BMX Athletes that compete around the globe and a larger proportion of members competing at National, State and Regional levels. The club has great social media exposure to the BMX sporting community through Facebook with 1000 followers.
The club works with each sponsor individually to maximise exposure throughout its club membership base, the track facility, and our large extended network.
